Notes from the messy middle
Hi
I’m Lana. I’m creating a little island here around my experiences of the messy middle — that space after something ends and before what’s next actually makes sense.
Over time I’ve found I’m good at being here; staying when things are uncertain. Moving through change without clarity, and returning again and again to whatever feels grounded enough to stand on while everything else is still moving and shifting.
I’m using this space for navigating rupture and expansion. I don’t mean the hustle kind; the “push through and figure it out”. I mean the kind that happens when you’ve lost an identity and are learning to trust yourself again.
If you know what I mean you’ll know about the looping. The two steps forward one step back- the cha-cha-cha, sometimes feeling never-ending. The feeling of being stuck in treacle, and wondering whether anything is ever linear, or straightforward A to B or whether we’re always just moving through cycles or roundabouts.
I’m not here to fix. I’m here to share what I notice from inside the messy middle. If you’re in the messy middle, you’re welcome here.

Ahhhh! This feels like safe, empowering and lovely space to be seen, heard and welcomed as we reset and recharge into our What's Next!
Those words create a poetic dance of sense, bringing clarity to muddy vistas.
You always make the confusion make sense.
For me it feels akin to having a foot on the break and one on the gas at the same time.
thank you
